How to enter Buenos Aires:

In this first stage, the only international tourists who can visit the City are only those from Chile, Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay and Paraguay. They may enter exclusively by air through the Ezeiza airport. Tourists from Uruguay can also do so by river.

National tourists may enter the City by bus through the Dellepiane terminal or private vehicle, as well as by air arriving at the Ezeiza airport.

Requirements for entering the City

Regional tourists from neighboring countries should:

  • Submit an affidavit.
  • Carry out a PCR test at the source 72 hours in advance.
  • Have health insurance with Covid-19 coverage.
  • Take a saliva test in Ezeiza (from December 15).
  • The test will have a value of $ 2,500 for the international tourist.

After the test, international tourists will be able to continue their trip and should not wait for the result at the airport. It is important that all necessary preventive care is taken while waiting to avoid potential infections. The result will be informed to the visitor or resident between 12 and 24 hours via SMS, mail or telephone communication.

Important: to do the saliva test, it is advisable not to have eaten food and not to have brushed your teeth or had drinks during the 3 hours prior to the test. 

National tourists and returning residents should:

  • Submit an affidavit.
  • National visitors and residents of the City (who have traveled within the country) who arrive by air must take a saliva test in Ezeiza (as of December 15).
  • Those who arrive by bus, a saliva test upon arrival at the Dellepiane terminal (from December 8).
  • In the case of Argentines who return to the country and have the City as their destination, the test will be covered by the health coverage they have.
  • The test will be covered by the health coverage of each Argentine. Children under 12 years of age are exempt from testing. The test will be free for people with disabilities, retirees and people who receive state assistance.
  • Those who arrive by private car must take the test within 24 hours at any of the test points enabled for this purpose (Vehicle Test Center and Munich Building, in Costanera Sur).
