Covid-19: Measures in force until May 30

Given the increase in coronavirus cases, the City Government announced new measures that will be in effect until Sunday, May 30:

  • Social gatherings of any kind are prohibited, regardless of whether the spaces are open or closed.

  • Public transport is only exclusive for essential workers and the allowed circulation is limited to nearby activities (supermarket, kiosk, pharmacy, another neighborhood shop or a nearby square to walk, although without staying).

  • 71 entrances and exits to the City out of a total of 127 will be closed by means of fencing. The authorized entrances remain for those who have a permit.

  • Essential businesses remain open with current protocols.

  • Non-essential businesses can serve the public, but only from the door out.

  • Gastronomic establishments can work in delivery mode, to withdraw in the premises and from the door to the outside.

  • Clubs and temples are closed. Religious ceremonies will not be enabled.

  • In squares and parks, the playgrounds will remain closed and only individual sports can be practiced. Picnics, celebrations or any social gathering will not be allowed.

The entire City team will be working to ensure that each of these measures are respected. Controls will be strengthened at the transfer centers and at the subway entrances. Irregularities can be reported on line 911.
