Galleries, emerging artists, collectors and new trends come together in a fair that works as an X-ray of the current artistic scene in Argentina and Latin America. MAPA returns to Buenos Aires with an edition that expands its intersections between art, design and new forms of cultural production.
For a few days each year, contemporary art leaves galleries, studios and museums to concentrate in one single space. That is what happens with MAPA Art Fair, one of the most relevant events in Buenos Aires’ cultural calendar, which from June 25 to 28 brings together at La Rural more than 40 galleries and projects from different cities in Argentina and Latin America.
The fair reaches its eighth edition consolidating a format that combines exhibition, circulation of works, collecting and encounters among different actors of the artistic ecosystem. But it also works as a gateway for those seeking to approach contemporary art without the need for prior knowledge.
