The Teatro Colón presents CasasdeÔpera

CasasdeÔpera is a digital cycle based on short lyrical pieces, created and recorded entirely by artists from the Teatro Colón during the months of social isolation caused by the pandemic.

CasasdeÔpera exhibits an innovative aesthetic that seeks new ways to tackle the operatic genre. This approach is enhanced by the craftsmanship of the singers themselves in their homes. To solve makeup, lighting, wardrobe, art and camera needs with household objects and a huge dose of creativity.

The result is impressive for its artistic and technical quality. A product with the Colón Theater seal of excellence that opens a door to experimentation with formats for opera. Putting new technologies at the service of expression and art.

La Barcarolle is the most famous duo in the opera, also known as "Belle nuit, ô nuit d'amour" , written in a moderate tempo in the style of the folk songs sung by the gondoliers of Venice, the city where the scene takes place.
