The British Bar at the beginning of the 20th century opened as a grocery store.

In 1928 it was called British, by the ex-English fighters who frequented the place. Here Ernesto Sábato wrote pages of his book On Heroes and Tombs and filmed movie passages.

It is an emblematic place that keeps the style of its splendorous period, where celebrated figures of popular history passed.
