🌟 A program designed for all ages
The fair offers a diverse agenda including:
- Book presentations and talks with authors
- Illustration, science, and storytelling workshops
- Theatrical and musical performances
- Comic festivals and activities for teens
- Inclusive spaces with interpretation in Argentine Sign Language
More than 70 exhibitors—including publishers, bookstores, and institutions—will be present with editorial offerings for every taste.
🎨 Characters brought to life
This year, three characters created especially for the fair—Lili, Lina, and Lolo—will appear throughout the event. Designed by young illustrator Nehuén Costa, these friends invite visitors to imagine new creatures inspired by Argentine wildlife. On Saturday, July 19, Costa will lead an art workshop to share his creative process.
🎤 Opening with a literary voice
The official opening will be July 18 at 6 p.m., with a speech by celebrated author María Teresa Andruetto, recipient of the Hans Christian Andersen Award. Her address promises to be a tribute to literature as a refuge and a spark of hope in complex times.
🏫 Sessions for professionals and educators
The fair also includes training spaces:
- Professional Day: Wednesday, July 23
- Sessions for Teachers and Reading Mediators: Thursday, July 24 and Friday, July 25
Both programs are open for registration and aim to strengthen the connection between literature and education.
The 2025 Children's and Youth Book Fair is much more than an event—it's a celebration of words, images, and encounters. A perfect opportunity for children and young people to connect with the joy of reading, creating, and sharing.
