From February 14 to 17, the city celebrates the arrival of the Year of the Fire Horse with a cultural program that transforms Belgrano into an open-air stage. For four days, from 12 pm to 8 pm, Chinatown fills with dragons, lions, music, traditional dances, martial arts, and typical gastronomy.
On Sunday, February 15, the docks of Puerto Madero vibrate with the classic Dragon Boat race, while on Monday, February 16, various Buenos Aires landmarks — such as the Puente de la Mujer, the Floralis Genérica, and the Planetarium — light up in red to accompany the celebration.
There will be parades, artistic performances, traditional and contemporary fashion, raffles, and activations. Even goldsmith Juan Carlos Pallarols will present a symbolic work as an offering to the new year.
