Every Sunday since the beginning of the quarantine, the Colon theater continues to surprise us with its praised productions, this time El Corsario.

Enjoy the Stable Ballet in El corsario, directed by Paloma Herrera, with choreography by Anne-Marie Holmes and reruns by Julio Bocca and Lorena Fernández. Under the baton of Tara Simoncic, the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra accompanied the Stable Ballet led by the house dancers Nadia Muzyca, Federico Fernández and Jiva Velázquez. ⠀

Corsair Conrad, his slave Ali and his friend Birbanto sail on a pirate ship bound for Turkey. Upon arriving at the large market where buyers, merchants and also traffickers of beautiful slaves gather, Conrad discovers the young Greek Medora and is dazzled by her charms. Inspired by Lord Byron's poem, although turned to comedy, it has music by Adolphe Adam, Cesare Pugni, Riccardo Drigo and Léo Delibes and fundamentally, the extraordinary choreography by Canadian Anna Marie Holmes.
