Viejo Hotel
This old neighborhood hotel was transformed in 1979 into an art gallery and atelier of painters and sculptors.

Its facade was modified, but its interior still retains the original Italianizing features.

It is part of the few typical courtyards that were left of the old houses of San Telmo . Hence its uniqueness and beauty.

The construction of the building dates from 1860.
The property was built in order to house families, being at times hotel, at other times conventillo or pension -according to the denominations of each time-. It even became a temporary shelter for a few days.

It was also used as a hospital, housing the patients with the yellow fever epidemic. It closed its doors in 1973 and was always known as "Hotel San Telmo".

In 1979, it was transformed into a gallery after an adaptation and restoration process.

Today he tries to maintain that spirit of small rooms where families are no longer crowded, but where ateliers, studios, workshops and a restaurant bar work.

The Gallery of the Old Hotel is considered of Historical Interest .
