A little history

Between 1926 and 1928 the president of the Argentine Rural Society Luis Antonio Duhau wanted to build in Buenos Aires a replica of the Chateau Du Marais, which he had met on a trip to France. Except for its facade, the palace was not finished according to its original project since, before the end of the work, the internal subdivision for the family departments of the Escalante, the Avellaneda, the Uribelarrea and, of course, the Duhau family began. . The Duhau was a residence between 1934 and 1995, until the heirs decided to sell it to a shareholding group to install the hotel.

After its sale, the Palace remained closed for several years until in 2000 a meticulous restoration began to become an important five-star hotel called Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires.
