This Wednesday, September 30, Joaquín Salvador Lavado, better known as Quino , the creator of Mafalda, passed away. So far it has not transpired what was the cause of death.

The cartoonist, born in Mendoza in 1932, was 88 years old and yesterday, September 29, it was 56 years old since his beloved character was published.

Quino drew Mafalda for nine years, between 1964 and 1973. "But I never finished learning to draw her; I had to trace her," he said a few years ago.
