On June 20, 1957, the National Flag Monument was officially inaugurated, in official acts presided over by the de facto President Gen. Pedro E. Aramburu.

A series of previous and subsequent activities completed the festivities, summoning the citizens who followed all the steps of this inaugural ceremony.

A great military parade, followed by speeches were the center of this inauguration.
