The Armenian community arrived in Buenos Aires during the first decades of the 20th century and settled in different neighborhoods, but the greatest concentration was in the current Palermo neighborhood, formerly known as "Circumscription 18". Since then, the community has spread its customs through its institutions, gastronomy, artists and prominent personalities.

The Armenian Cultural Association was established on November 27, 1948 as a Civil Association and obtained its legal status on January 19, 1951. It is a non-profit institution that works to disseminate Armenian culture and education in its different expressions, promoting the values of solidarity and multicultural diversity. Since 1995 it has been open to all society, transmitting values such as respect for human rights and diversity, the defense of the Armenian Cause and the construction of its identity based on plurality.



On the first floor, his restaurant is a great choice if you want to enjoy a delicious Armenian meal. With a varied and abundant menu, affordable prices, in a relaxed and warm atmosphere, happy diners can enjoy dishes such as Pilav rice, lamb strudell, cabbage sarma, Pasha Boreg or Glorig Kefté, among many others. , in addition to tasting its famous hummus, tabbulè and typical empanadas. The waiters are always ready to explain what and how each dish is made, which always ends with a delicious dessert and coffee. On Fridays and Saturdays, in addition, the evenings complete the magic with a show of Armenian and Greek dances, where at the end anyone who wants to dance can join.

Furthermore, the Armenian Cultural Association is a space full of art, history and culture; a place where various exhibitions and activities take place. It has a spacious and well-lit auditorium; a soccer field; a complete library of Armenian history and culture from all over Latin America that includes valuable books and documents and, underground, one of the best tango clubs in the city: La Viruta, academy for beginners and dance floor, with or without a partner , all in a climate of respect, friendship and harmony.
