Café de la U

Villa Urquiza

In a prominent corner of the neighborhood, that of Triunvirato and Roosevelt, opposite and diagonally from the Miter Railroad station, the Café de la U has been operating since December 15, 1986, which with that U paid tribute to the Urquiza neighborhood.

Café de la U offers interesting gastronomic possibilities; In addition to its varied sandwich shop, the spinach crêpe with mushrooms, cheese and pink sauce, the U Salad with tuna, tomato, onion, potato and egg, and its classic homemade flan with dulce de leche are very interesting.

From the tables near the ochava you can choose the view, on the one hand the barrier and the gatehouse of the Miter railway station, on the other, the façade of the sober building of the Urquiza branch of the Banco Nación, the work of the Belgian architect Jules Dormal, the same one that completed the construction of the Colón Theater.
