La Poesía coffee, originally created to be a meeting place for artists and intellectuals, currently maintains its tradition of inspiring corner.

It was declared Notable by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires and Site of Cultural Interest by the Buenos Aires Legislature.

Its history begins in 1982, when the poet Rubén Derlis inaugurates it, in the PB of an Italianate building. Very crowded by the poetic generation of 60. It is a place where different workshops of narrative and poetry were created. Its walls contain photos and portraits of poets.
