FIT

Argentine destinations, international proposals, gastronomy, shows and new ways of traveling meet from September 26 to 29 at La Rural. In its 30th edition, the International Tourism Fair invites you to tour the world in an afternoon and perhaps find inspiration for your next trip.

A trip can begin long before packing

Sometimes it starts in front of a photograph. With a flavor we don’t know. Listening to music that transports us elsewhere. Or simply talking to someone who tells us about that destination we’ve long wanted to visit.

For four days, FIT – International Tourism Fair of Latin America concentrates all those possibilities at La Rural.

From September 26 to 29, destinations, tour operators, transport companies, hotels, tech firms and institutions from around the world meet in Buenos Aires to celebrate a special edition: in 2026, FIT reaches 30 editions.

For the general public, doors open Saturday 26 and Sunday 27. And the proposal goes far beyond looking for information for the next vacation.

Argentina, from end to end

One of FIT’s major areas is dedicated to national tourism.

Argentine provinces present their landscapes, gastronomy, culture and new tourism proposals, making it possible to go from Patagonia to the North and from Cuyo to the Littoral in just a few hours.

Each region displays its identity through experiences, emerging destinations and well-known attractions. It’s a good opportunity to discover places that may not yet have been on the radar: a gastronomic route, a small town, a nature experience or a getaway that could become the next long weekend.

Because you don’t always need to travel thousands of kilometers to feel far away.

A stopover and onward

A few steps further, the map expands.

FIT brings together international representations, operators, airlines, hotel chains and tourism providers offering proposals from different destinations. The fair allows comparing alternatives and discovering new ways of traveling in a single tour.

In this edition, Dominican Republic is the guest country, with a special presence in the program.

The experience is completed with tastings, shows, live performances, games and activities that make discovering a destination not only about looking at a brochure.

For a while, traveling can also mean tasting, listening and talking.

How will we travel in the coming years?

FIT also allows a glimpse into the future of tourism.

At FIT TECH 2026, specialists and industry leaders focus on technology, artificial intelligence, sustainability, investment and data use to develop smarter destinations. The Travel Forum Latam adds two days oriented to professional exchange and business.

These topics may seem distant from travelers, but they are already transforming the experience: from how we choose a destination to how we book a hotel, organize an itinerary or seek more sustainable options.

Travel changes. And the fair also shows where it is heading.

30 editions looking at the world

The 2026 edition also marks an important anniversary.

FIT celebrates 30 editions consolidated as one of the major tourism industry gatherings in Latin America. As a reference of its scale, in 2025 it brought together 1,939 exhibitors from 59 countries and received more than 98,000 general visitors, plus over 43,000 professionals. This year, organizers expect more than 150,000 people over the four days.

The last two days — Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 — are reserved exclusively for professionals and concentrate business rounds, networking and specialized activities.

On September 29, the International Forum on Sports Tourism will also be held, dedicated to analyzing the growth of travel linked to major events and sports experiences.

The next destination may appear here

For those who enjoy traveling, FIT is like a huge inspiration board.

You can arrive thinking of a beach vacation and end up discovering a mountain route. Look for information about an international destination and leave wanting to visit an Argentine province. Taste a dish, hear a story or find yourself in front of a landscape that until then had no name.

No need to visit all the stands or arrive with a trip decided.

Sometimes it’s enough to walk and let an idea appear.

Because before tickets, reservations and suitcases there is always a much simpler moment:

that instant when we start imagining where we want to go.
