Imagine Van Gogh

Palermo

For the first time, the only immersive art exhibition in Argentina.

Starting in February at the La Rural property you can enjoy the immersive Imagine Van Gogh exhibition for the first time . An exhibition that has traveled the world selling more than a million tickets, after having toured the main cities of the world.

Imagine Van Gogh is the immersive exhibition of the genius of Dutch and world painting, Vincet Van Gogh. The exhibition has advanced technology, called "total image", an original concept of immersive exhibitions created in 1977 by Albert Plécy (French photographer and filmmaker) and developed by his granddaughter Annabelle Mauger for an amazing exhibition.

The exhibition is immersed in 200 works by Vincent Van Gogh, in large format, projected around him on the floors, the walls and on monumental mobile candles.

The show was first presented at La Cathédrale d'Images, France, in 2008. It invites visitors to literally enter the world and works of Van Gogh, in the most advanced immersive exhibition ever created . The “total image” technology brings a totally new dimension to the concept of art exhibition and revolutionizes the encounter between artists, works of art and the public.

With immersion, the spectator's state of consciousness is transformed, seeing himself surrounded by an audiovisual environment produces a perception of presence in a non-physical world. Immersive art explores emotions, mechanisms of perception, and altered states of consciousness. The public walks through the exhibition in total darkness, only broken by the gigantic projections of the artist's most recognized paintings with a musical background of the best exponents of classical music, which makes each visitor experience the work in a very personal way.

Imagine Van Gogh brings together more than 200 of Vincent Van Gogh's most recognized paintings. Today, such an exhibition simply could not be held, the astronomical value of the works would have a direct impact on insurance and transportation costs. The 200 paintings projected in our exhibition are part of prestigious collections of museums such as the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, the National Gallery of Art in London, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. An impressive selection that simply cannot physically coincide in the same place and at the same time.
