Meliá Recoleta Plaza

Recoleta
This elegant 57-room hotel, whose building was built in the 1930s, is located in the traditional Recoleta neighborhood, very close to several tourist attractions.

The rooms are air-conditioned and spacious, comfortable and modern, equipped with high-speed Internet access (Wi-Fi), telephone, safe, individually controlled air conditioning, flat-screen cable TV, desk, minibar and bathroom with Roman shower. The superior rooms also have a terrace and a hydromassage bathtub and the suites, with a separate living room, L'Occitane toiletries and a private wine cellar. To provide an unrivaled rest, the bedding is made with high-quality fabrics, such as Egyptian cotton.

Meliá has various gastronomic spaces of its own, such as a restaurant, a lobby bar, a cafe and a terrace for something more express. Its cuisine is international although, of course, it offers local specialties prepared with the best selection of seasonal and market products. In addition, the gastronomic proposal includes, upon request, specific foods for celiacs, lactose intolerant, vegetarians and kosher. Breakfast is worth remembering: a wide variety of pastries, seasonal fruits, an assortment of cheeses and cold cuts and hot dishes such as scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and breads. This meal is completed with cereals, yogurts, nuts and natural juices to start the day with all the energy.

A little history

The Meliá Recoleta Plaza has the particularity of having been Eva Perón's place of residence when, with the achievement of her first radio roles, and after having stayed in cheap pensions, she was able to access a home of her own. In fact, she chose this place because just by crossing the street she found herself on “Radio Belgrano”, the station where she worked as a supporting actress.

The renovation of the building by the hotel owners took care of every detail to offer their guests this stretch of history in an emblematic building.
