Neighborhood Park

Delimited by Figueroa Alcorta avenue, the San Martín railroad tracks and Tagle and San Martín de Tours streets, Barrio Parque resembles a closed urbanization although without barriers in the heart of the city, a luxury neighborhood that preserves its impeccable appearance original.

Barrio Parque stands out for its cobbled, narrow and circular streets, full of trees. It is a quiet neighborhood where high class families, millionaires and famous Argentines live. It is the neighborhood chosen by several important figures: judges, artists and politicians take refuge in the English and French style mansions that multiply along the curved streets.

You can see large old houses, large houses, some mansions and embassies. You will also find impressive architectural works: for example, a dome designed by the Italian Mario Palanti, the same one who thought of the Palacio Barolo , that shines on the corner of Eduardo Costa and Ortiz de Ocampo.

This elite neighborhood, quiet for those who wish it, is located minutes from the areas of the main banking and corporate activities of Buenos Aires (downtown and Puerto Madero), as well as nightlife (Recoleta, Palermo Soho, Palermo Hollywood and Las Cañitas).

It was designed in 1912 by the landscape architect Carlos Thays (director of Parks and Public Walks). Who glimpsed a different Buenos Aires, with a neighborhood of curves and diagonals, and a lot of native vegetation. In its beginnings it was known as the Grand Bourg District .
