Spinetto Shopping

Balvanera

The Spinetto Shoppping works in the structure of the old Mercado Ciudad de Buenos Aires, better known as Mercado Spinetto. It had been founded by David Spinetto in 1894, and its building designed by the architect Juan Antonio Buschiazzo occupied the entire block delimited by Matheu, Adolfo Alsina, Pichincha and Moreno streets.

In 1986, the El Hogar Obrero cooperative acquired the building and undertook a total remodeling plan to transform it into what would be one of the first shopping centers that Buenos Aires would have, in accordance with current consumption patterns. The entire internal structure of the old building was demolished, but the four facades remained standing.

The shopping center is located in the Balvanera neighborhood, Buenos Aires. It has a beautiful food court, where you can choose from a rich variety of dishes and desserts, and you can also enjoy a shopping trip in the shops that are there.
