The San Martín Theater houses three important halls, several exhibition halls, a cinema, workshops and other spaces destined to the development of the different tasks related to artistic production.

Since the beginning of its activities, at the beginning of the 60's, the San Martín Theater has been occupying an increasingly important place in the cultural life of Buenos Aires. Located in the heart of the city, it is visited by more than one million people per year.
The Theater has two stable companies that turned 30 in 2007: the Contemporary Ballet and the Puppetry Group of the San Martín Theater. The offices of the General and Artistic Direction of the Theater Complex of Buenos Aires, as well as its departments of Press, Publications, Art and Television are also located in this headquarters.
