The Microteatro is now LiveMicroteatro

Among the new ways and strategies that arise to continue with the theatrical activity in the midst of the quarantine, Microteatro has just launched LiveMicroteatro, a free online platform where from Thursday May 7th, new proposals will be uploaded every week, thought out, developed and created entirely during this social, preventive and compulsory isolation.

One of the characteristics that distinguishes Microteatro is that it offers monthly themes, that is, the programming is completely renewed every 30 days from an open call. This time, the common theme is #PorLaCuarentena, and it can be enjoyed in 6 virtual rooms where audiovisual pieces from 3 to 5 minutes long will be released every Thursday.

"Faced with the uncertainty of not knowing when the curtain was going to open, with the curatorial team made up of Lorena Romanín, María Figueras and I began to scan, to see what we could think of. And this arose daily. We received no I know how many messages, memes, jokes and videos spontaneously put together by the people who question us about this quarantine. So we made an open call, we gathered the Microteatro community and we proposed them to make an audiovisual proposal that had to do with what is happening to us , from zooming in with your family on a Sunday to a note on skype, taking advantage of these ways in which we are now communicating and telling it differently, in another format, with a new language, but that continues to be microteatral ", he points out Julieta Novarro, founder and director of Microteatro.
