Buenos Aires obtained the safe travels seal

The city of Buenos Aires received the international Safe Travels seal, issued by the World Travel and Tourism Council ( WTTC ), a badge of support to tourist destinations that adopt and comply with hygiene and sanitation protocols and physical distancing.

“This seal is essential to provide confidence to all national and international travelers who come to the City. In addition, it allows us to advance in the creation of a network of safe and prepared destinations with other cities in the region, which are the destinations that send the most tourists to the City. It is one more step to achieve a safe reactivation of tourism " , said Fernando Straface, Secretary General and International Relations.

The destinations in the region that have the seal are San Pablo, Rio de Janeiro, Cancun, Morelia and Quito , among others. The Safe Travels seal guarantees that the destination is safe and prepared to receive tourists, complying with all the global health and hygiene requirements and guidelines, established and endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Control and the Disease Prevention (CDC) and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
