Mar Azul Coffee

This trade has an original and simple setting characteristic of the late 40s and early 50s. It has a sector covered with painted glass, typical of the time, and there are not many examples in the City of Buenos Aires .

Here, commented the poet Arturo Cuadrado, he had been inspired to write his poem Prohibido Mira, where he says: "Mar azul. Blue sky. Blanca vela ... "

His previous owners were Maximino Gallo and Francisco González. Carlos Encina Alarcón, an experienced man of the guild, is in charge of the premises, with twenty years of service in the beloved British Bar, until its closure.

Among its varied clientele, Mar Azul is attended by students from the neighboring Dante Alighieri Association and Law School of the Universidad del Salvador, as well as by fellow members of Mr. Hipólito Yrigoyen, coming from the almost bounded Capital Committee of the Radical Civic Union.
