Don Ernesto

San Telmo

Don Ernesto, a place that has a lot to tell, with history.

The current walls recall these ancient times with black and white photographs of when this house was the first armory of the Federal Capital, to be subsequently a committee of the Radical Civic Union, one of the political parties of the early twentieth century with more popular recognition in Argentina.

The personalities that passed through the house, also left their traces: graffiti and photos of all the people who have ever seen the place, such as China Zorrilla, this legendary Argentine actress, Roberto Pettinato or Ismael Serrano, the Spanish singer, among others. To these are added drawings, declarations of love and friendship, such that the walls of the place no longer allow blank space for any more scribble.

An old wooden staircase, which they say belonged to the villa of Honorio Puyrredon, politician and lawyer with radical tradition, leads to a mezzanine.

The name of the restaurant, is something more contemporary because it refers to the father of one of the owners of the place.
