The Cultural Center San Martin, dependent of the Ministry of Culture of the government of the City of Buenos Aires, was born in 1970 like an organism for the accomplishment of congresses, conferences and cultural acts.

However, from its beginnings, it transcended its original objectives by virtue of the multiplication of its cultural offer and of the immediate acceptance of the Buenos Aires public.

Throughout 40 years, he became a trainer of several generations of audiences; in icon of pluralism and diversity; in one of the main stages for the consecration of artists and, because of its location and the width of its halls, in the setting of outstanding artistic, cultural, political and social events.

The diversity and volume of its offer of courses and workshops positions the CCGSM as one of the main centers of artistic-cultural training in the city.

The musical and theatrical programming, together with the exhibitions of visual arts, are a classic of the Cultural Center that is renewed year after year in a protean tension between the tradition and the avant-garde.
