The National

St nicolas

El Nacional, is an emblematic hall of Buenos Aires located on Corrientes Avenue 960, axis of the theatrical life of the city. The room has the highest technology and a capacity of 1014 seats.

The theater was built and inaugurated by Jerónimo Podestá in 1907 and was later acquired by businessman Alejandro Romay, in the 1960s. Jerónimo Podestá sold his properties to fulfill a dream: to build a great theater to represent Argentine works!

54 years later, Alejandro Romay took over the Directorate General of the theater to expand the vision of Podestá and transform it into the scenic center of Bs.As., which housed hundreds of authors, actors, musicians, choreographers and directors. All committed to transmit a message: to recover the meaning of life.
