International coffee day: Where to have one in the City?

Every October 1, International Coffee Day is celebrated, in tribute to all the people who participate in the preparation of this popular infusion. This date was established by the International Coffee Organization in 2015, in order to unite in a single day all producers from all countries. According to a report by the Argentine Coffee Chamber, the country consumes about 1 kilo per year per capita.

Places to have one:

The motofeca. Paraguay 627.

It is a place created by Walter Miter, a coffee expert who roasts his own beans. It has a very good grain curation, especially from Bolivia, which is not a very widespread one. Motofeca is ideal for exploring and enjoying the “microlots” experience, as very small batches of specialty coffee are called.

coffee

Coffee Town. Bolívar 976, San Telmo Market.

It is the first specialty coffee shop in the country, inaugurated in 2012. With more than 25 different origins of coffee, it allows you to enjoy a different one every day, prepared in different methods. Here they serve their now famous El Mercado blend (70% Guatemala / 15% Colombia / 15% Brazil, beans from three origins that give it a perfect balance of sweetness, body and acidity), that of Mujeres, their Grand Cru and their Experimental coffees, unique in Argentina. Coffee Town is the cutting edge for any coffee lover.

coffee

Duca. Thames 1759.

A little piece of Italy in the corner of a Palermo passage. Their coffee never fails, it is chosen and prepared with dedication and wisdom. The machine, an Adonis by Victoria Arduino - an Italian factory specializing in expresso - is the protagonist.

coffee

Raven. El Salvador 4580.

Here they serve their own Colombian blend, the same one they sell to take away. For the filtered ones -which are offered in different types- Cuervo tries to vary between two or three origins.
