Benito Quinquela Martín Museum

La Boca

It has the largest collection of oil paintings by this emblematic plastic artist and is a true icon of the La Boca neighborhood.

The Museo de Bellas Artes de La Boca de Artistas Argentinos "Benito Quinquela Martín" is one of the buildings that the great artist from La Boca, Benito Quinquela Martín, donated to his neighborhood to create a cultural, educational, and health hub.
But this place has an added bonus that intimately links it to the artist: it was where he lived and worked, overlooking the Riachuelo. You will find the largest collection of oil paintings and etchings by Quinquela Martín, made between 1922 and 1967.

In addition, it offers the possibility to explore different spaces: the painter's House Museum, where his personal objects and many of his works are exhibited where he lived; the exhibition of Argentine Art from the figurative currents of various representatives of Argentine art since the late 19th century; and one of the most important collections of figureheads in Latin America, made by anonymous artisans with techniques transmitted orally.

It has large rooms where the heritage is exhibited along with temporary exhibitions and has a constantly moving activity schedule.
