Restaurants and bars will not pay gross income

The Buenos Aires Legislature approved this Thursday a law that exempts gastronomic establishments from the payment of gross income for a period of six months . The measure will take effect in September.

This initiative was approved with 54 votes in favor and 5 against. It is an aid for an economic sector that has been hit hard by the pandemic. And that currently carries out operations through delivery or "take away" , because the City of Buenos Aires does not have outdoor consumption enabled.

In this way, the exemption from the payment of Gross Income will reach about 10,000 gastronomic establishments installed in CABA. They are:

Restaurant and canteen services with and without show

Fastfood services and food and beverage outlets on the go

Drinks service in bars

Food and beverage outlets in establishments with table and / or counter service

Ice cream vending service

Let's remember that while they continue to fight for their opening with tables outside in the open air.
