Usina del Arte

La Boca
The construction of the Usina del Arte, a Florentine-style building with exposed brick, is the work of the Italian architect Juan Chiogna. It was made in 1916 and, for many years, it was the place where the old Italo Argentina de Electricidad company operated.

Today, fully restored, it has a symphonic hall with a capacity for 1,200 people designed with the highest standards and optimal acoustics, and different spaces designed for dance performances, visual arts exhibitions, shows and exhibitions. The little ones can find endless activities of all kinds specially designed for them.

The building also has different spaces for the realization of shows, visual arts exhibitions, samples and exhibitions. The central nave, with its facades covered in Paris stone and granite base, has moldings and capitals of great testimonial value that were restored, in the same way as all the original carpentry of the old electrical plant.
