Oviedo Bar

Mataderos
In 1900 it opened as a precarious warehouse and inn. It had two palenques, a characteristic feature of the place, although currently only part of one remains. It is located in the center of the slaughterhouse fair, in front of the Resero monument.

Slaughterhouses, a neighborhood that for a long time was the meeting point between the countryside and the city (because the cattle were there for slaughtering), since 1900 this bar, whose interior is covered in wood, has been operating. A billiard table accompanies the wooden or metal tables that unfold in the living room, often occupied by men dressed in corraleras, espadrilles and beret, a sign that the rural style is still alive.

Nearby, on Sundays the Slaughterhouse Fair is held, a display of handicrafts and folk art shows.
