Casa Nueza

Villa Crespo
In recent times, a cultural change began in terms of eating habits that aims to be healthy and conscious without losing the flavor and magic of good food. Plant based is a concept that eliminates the consumption of food from animals. As demand increased a lot, and supply began to lag behind, many bars and restaurants began adding vegan and healthier options to their menus.

With a lot of pastries, specialty coffee, breads and other delicacies -all plant based- Casa Nueza arrived in the Villa Crespo neighborhood to surprise porteños and tourists with a different, interesting and natural option. Its menu, with options little seen in Buenos Aires, is designed for lunch, tea time or to take the products and, why not, prepare a delicious picnic.

Agustina and Catalina are two sisters who share a passion for cooking and their vegan lifestyle. Casa Nueza was born as a healthy cooking take-away venture until the good repercussions made more and more customers. So they decided to open a place on the street to receive them in a warm and welcoming place. Both are very active in social networks and influencers of yoga and healthy habits, which helped them to devise a project adapted to the interest of the users.

The specials are the sweet things. There are cookies, alfajores, puddings, cinnamon rolls, croissants and chocolate bread. The cakes can be ordered by the slice or whole and also have three options without TACC. The menu offers savory dishes such as sourdough toast, roasted vegetable tart; Green leaf salad, couscous, pasta, potatoes, cherries, cabbage and cashew cheese or the bowl of chia pudding. Among the natural drinks, the famous kombucha stands out, a fermented drink based on sugar and slightly effervescent tea that provides health benefits, vegetable almond, oat or cashew milks and other organic juices, and, of course, coffee is the undisputed protagonist.

The most requested? The croissant and sourdough toast with spreadable cashew cheese, avocado, coriander and seasonal fruit.

To put together a delicious picnic they have a special box with delicious products, all homemade: sourdough bread, cornstarch and lime alfajores, carrot pudding, delicious cookies, a jar of fermented cashew cheese and another of homemade jam.

Casa Nueza has a minimalist Scandinavian style with pastel colors and wooden furniture and lots of dried flowers. On the façade there is a bar that goes out onto the street with some stools that are ideal for sitting down with pets for a while.
