COVID-19: Buenos Aires deactivates most restrictions

The City Government assured that the data on the health situation are "encouraging" and announced new advances for the return to normality in Buenos Aires with many flexibilities in gastronomy, transport and shops and the expansion of capacity for cultural events. In addition, it will no longer be mandatory to test when returning from a trip from the interior of the country and there will be no restrictions in terms of the number of people in social encounters and commercial activities.

These are the flexibilities in force since September 17:

- Social gatherings with no maximum number of people, both inside and outside the homes. In closed spaces it is important to continue ventilating the rooms and, in both cases, use the mask and respect the distance.

- Commercial activity in premises on the street, shopping malls and gastronomic establishments.

- Professional activities , including public administration.

- Common areas of hotels and buildings.

- Use of public transport for everyone , always with masks and respect for maximum capacities. All subway stations will be open.

- Bars and clubs can stay open until 3 in the morning.

- For massive outdoor events, the maximum goes from 2,500 people to 4,000, as long as the space allows respecting the protocol of 1 person every 2 square meters. For closed spaces, the maximum capacity increases to 4,000 people, as long as the occupancy of 70% of the venue is not exceeded.

IMPORTANT: Let us remember that the pandemic did not end and let us use freedom responsibly to continue taking care of each other.
