Manteca Restó

Palermo
The brothers Fernando and Felipe Álvarez de Toledo have two occupations very foreign to gastronomy: one is an architect and the other a musician. But they are united by a passion for cooking and, in the midst of the pandemic, they decided to undertake together. This is how Manteca Restó was born, a minimalist and warm place with a Nordic setting inspired by Fernando's cooking style, who used to put a lot of butter on everything.

Located in Uriarte 1657, Palermo Hollywood, Manteca opened at the beginning of the year and is an interesting comfort food proposal consisting of simple, homemade and traditional dishes by chef Francisco García: sweetbreads, garlic prawns, semolina gnocchi, milanesas, fritters, omelettes, octopus with domino potatoes, ratatouille and sirloin Wellington, the house specialty. In addition to the many dining options, they have an extensive dessert and wine list.

With gray-scale walls, curtains and accessories and light wood tables, the setting invites you to come in and stay. On the terrace, the tables and chairs are made of black iron, the lamps combine perfectly with the minimalist style of the place and you can see the trees on the sidewalk, which provide shade on summer afternoons.
